Writer's picture: Christina Christina

1. What made you wanna be a YouTube naturalista?

People asked me a lot about how I maintain my hair. They thought I was mixed because my hair texture was different from most Nigerians and I wanted to show with love and care they can achieve healthy hair.

2. How many years have you been natural?

6 years

3. How do you deal with bad hair days?

I just put it into a ponytail lol, that always saves the day.

4. What is your hair regimen?

I shampoo, condition, deep condition, and style my hair every week.

5. What is your favorite hair product brand?

Hmmm, I don’t have a favorite product brand but I do have favorite products such as the Tresemme Moisture Rich Conditioner, Jane Carter on the Go Styler, Jshea Oil as a leave-in conditioner.

6. What role do you think social media play when it comes to natural hair?

It showed natural hair to be more acceptable. It gave people a platform to show their different hair textures and etc. I believe it gave hope to others that didn’t know anything about their hair and how to care for it.

7. As a black woman, how does feel to have women and girls looking up to you?

It feels amazing and can sometimes feel surreal to know that I inspire women. I know what it feels like to look up to someone so to be that to someone else is an amazing feeling.

8. Do you have any tips for my readers who are thinking of transitioning?

I wasn’t really good with transitioning but do what works for you.

9. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I see myself having an empire, maybe launching a hair product. Having Kids and enjoying traveling with my family.

10. What are your social handles?

My social handles for Instagram and YouTube is Naturallytemi
